It is heartening to note that over the past decade, there has been a heightened focus on enhancing healthcare standards, both at the Central and State levels. Consequently, there
has been remarkable progress in various aspects of healthcare, especially in states that were previously underperforming. While the overall progress is promising, it is a matter of considerable concern that there has not been significant improvement in human resources and healthcare financing at the state level in general. This is particularly concerning given the escalating threat of Noncommunicable Diseases all over the country.
